HURTIGRUTEN
PLAN JE REIS
Deze reis wordt niet voor niets vaak 'de mooiste zeereis ter wereld' genoemd. Het is meer dan alleen een cruise; een reis met Hurtigruten kun je prima een van de meest authentieke Noorse ervaringen ooit noemen. Al sinds 1893 maken de Hurtigruten-schepen deel uit van het kustleven, door lokale passagiers, bezoekers en vracht tussen steden en eilanden te vervoeren en zo zowel grote als kleine kustgemeenschappen met elkaar te verbinden.
De klassieke reis
De klassieke Kustexpress neemt je mee van Bergen in het zuiden naar Kirkenes in het noorden en weer terug, langs eilanden, eilandengroepen, kleine steden en 34 havens. De kustvloot bestaat uit verschillende unieke schepen die allemaal dagelijks vertrekken. Een klassieke enkele reis duurt 6 dagen en de volledige rondreis duurt 12 dagen, waarbij de havens twee keer worden aangedaan. Je ervaart andere uitzichten en plekken tijdens een volledige rondreis, omdat je ze op andere momenten bezoekt.

Kenmerkende cruises
Met twee cruises en routes kun je het noordelijkste punt van de wereld ontdekken op een gerenoveerd schip.
Tussen eind september en april kun je, als je geluk hebt, aan boord van de North Cape Line het noorderlicht bewonderen. Deze route brengt je van Oslo of Hamburg (Duitsland) naar de Noordkaap en weer terug.

Van mei tot en met augustus kun je onder de middernachtzon van een cruise genieten: de Svalbard Express vertrekt vanuit Bergen naar Spitsbergen en vaart daarna weer terug. Volg de Noorse kust helemaal naar het noorden tot aan de Noordkaap, steek dan over naar Spitsbergen en vaar op de terugweg langs de Lyngen-alpen.

Op beide cruises ontdek je veel van dezelfde hoogtepunten als op de originele Hurtigruten Kustexpress en daarnaast ook spannende, minder bekende bestemmingen. Je kunt bovendien langer in de havens verblijven dan tijdens de standaard Hurtigruten-cruises, tot wel zes uur. Je hebt de keuze uit een 15-daagse of 7-daagse cruise.
Internationale routes
Je kunt de Noorse kustlijn verkennen en helemaal doorvaren naar de Noordkaap, waarbij je reis buiten Noorwegen begint. De MS Maud vertrekt vanuit Dover in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, terwijl de Otto Sverdrup uit Hamburg in Duitsland vertrekt.
Ervaar het lokale leven
Met de adembenemende, indrukwekkende natuur om je heen is het leven aan boord een onvergetelijke beleving. Maar als je de Noorse kust echt wilt ervaren, zijn het de excursies die deze reis werkelijk uniek maken.

In de zomer kun je een groot deel van de reis de hele nacht op het dek blijven, want dankzij de middernachtzon heb je 24 uur daglicht.
