Nr. 2 The Mini Bottle Gallery

Dit unieke museum heeft de grootste collectie miniatuurflesjes ter wereld. Er zijn er 53.000 tentoongesteld in 50 verschillende opstellingen in het gebouw dat 3 verdiepingen telt.

The Mini Bottle Gallery heeft duizenden flesjes die zijn gevuld met van alles en nog wat: van fruit en bessen tot wormen en muizen - om maar een paar voorbeelden te noemen.

Je kunt zelfs met de glijbaan naar beneden naar de 'griezelkamer'!

Nr. 3 Selbu Bygdemuseum

Selbu, regio Trøndelag

Selbuvotter zijn de meest bekende wanten in Noorwegen. Kijk waar ze vandaan komen en koop een paar of twee!

Selbu Bygdemuseum is een lokaal historisch museum in het centrum van Selbu, een kleine gemeente een uur ten zuidoosten van Trondheim in de regio Trøndelag.

Het museum is gevestigd in een verbouwde pastorie en heeft een enorme collectie Selbu-wanten, waaronder een aantal van de oudst bekende exemplaren!

Nr. 4 E-Huset, het eidereendmuseum

Dol op vogels?

Bij het Vega werelderfgoedcentrum kom je alles te weten over de eeuwenoude plaatselijke traditie om de eidereenden te beschermen die er komen nestelen. Een unieke traditie die leidde tot de werelderfgoedstatus van de eiderkweek in Vega.

Leuk weetje: zelfs de Noorse koning en koningin slapen onder dekbedden die zijn gemaakt van eidereendendons uit Vega!

Nr. 5 Het Lofoten stokvismuseum

Å, Noord-Noorwegen

Stokvis is de vissoort waarop Noorwegen is gebouwd.

In dit museum kom je alles te weten over de geschiedenis van tørrfisk, zoals stokvis in het Noors wordt genoemd.

De skrei, of rondtrekkende Arctische kabeljauw uit de Arctische wateren, wordt door de zon en de wind gedroogd op gigantische houten rekken op de Lofoten en in andere delen van Noord-Noorwegen, en dat is een eeuwenoude traditie.

Nr. 6 Motor- en technologiemusea

Oslo, Oost-Noorwegen

Het Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology is in Noorwegen het grootste museum in z'n soort. Bekijk meer dan 25 tentoonstellingen vol vliegtuigen, auto's, treinen en nog veel meer.

Je kunt ook een bezoekje brengen aan het Norwegian Road Museum even buiten Lillehammer. Het museum is gevestigd in één van de grootste Noorse technische industriële museumfaciliteiten.

Hier vind je het Norwegian Rock Blasting Museum waar je echt zelf mag proberen om een brug op te blazen!

Nr. 7 Het Lofotr Viking Museum

De Lofoten, Noord-Noorwegen

Welkom in de Vikingtijd!

Het Lofotr Viking Museum bevat een indrukwekkende reconstructie op ware grootte van het huis (wel 83 meter lang) van een Vikingstamhoofd, dat pal naast het oorspronkelijke huis is gebouwd.

In juli kun je roeien of varen op een Vikingschip, boogschieten en zelfs bijlwerpen.

Dit is maar één van de vele Vikingmusea in Noorwegen waar je meer te weten kunt komen over hoe de Vikingen werkelijk leefden.

Nr. 8 Het Norsk Lutefiskmuseum

Drøbak, Oost-Noorwegen

Lutefisk is een traditioneel Noors kerstgerecht gemaakt met in loog geconserveerde stokvis (ja, echt waar). Het Lutefiskmuseum was bedoeld als ontmoetingsplaats voor echte fans van lutefisk.

Lutefisk heeft zelfs z'n eigen dag, namelijk 3 oktober.

    The exhibition Hallingrosa at Ål Culture House contains world class rose painting art, and special focus is placed on the development of the Halling rose. Over the last few centuries several great rosepainting artists grew up in Ål, and this exhibition has gathered some of their work. Among these artists are Herbrand Sata, Nils Bæra and Embrik Bæra, all three originate from Ål. Hallingrosa focuses on the history of art and its development from the end of the 1700s until more recent rose paintings. In addition to the normal opening hours, the exhibition is usually open during the evenings where you will find the cinema, or other events being held. The exihibition may be closed when the room is being used for meetings. Free admission.
