Ervaar de krachten van de natuur op de Atlantische weg, een van de 18 Noorse toeristische routes.
Natuur en moderne techniek komen hier samen voor een unieke rijervaring.
Het wilde traject van 36 kilometer voert je van Kårvåg bij Kristiansund naar het vissersdorp Bud. Onderweg passeer je zeven spectaculaire bruggen over de Atlantische Oceaan.
Rijd over de Atlantische weg
De toeristische route Atlanterhavsvegen is in totaal 36 kilometer lang. Het bekendste deel, de Atlantische weg, verbindt Averøy met het vasteland via zeven bruggen die een reeks kleine eilanden overspannen.
Deze weg schittert in verschillende internationale film- en tv-producties, waaronder de James Bond-film No Time to Die en de HBO-hitserie Succession.
De route ligt op 8 uur rijden van Oslo, 9 uur van Bergen, 3 uur en 40 minuten van Trondheim en een schilderachtige rit van 2 uur en 40 minuten van Ålesund. Je kunt ook naar Kristiansund of Molde vliegen, een auto huren en vanaf daar je roadtrip starten.
Het is ook mogelijk om te fietsen, maar houd er rekening mee dat er veel verkeer kan zijn.
Je kunt vliegtickets boeken met Norwegian, Widerøe of SAS.
We raden je aan om je reis te beginnen (of af te sluiten) in het gezellige Kristiansund!
De kleine passagiersveerboot Sundbåten vervoert je gratis tussen de vier verschillende eilanden die samen Kristiansund vormen!
Ga van boord bij Gomalandet, waar je het Noorse Klipvismuseum kunt bezoeken en alles leert over de unieke klipvisgeschiedenis van de stad.

Rijd 30 kilometer door de prachtige landschappen van Averøy, voordat je stopt bij de leuke winkel Lanullva in Kårvåg.
Sla een voorraad warme, superzachte wollen kleding in voordat je je klaarmaakt voor het hoogtepunt: De Atlantische weg!
Dit is ook het startpunt van de toeristische route.
Bij de eerste stop, Geitøya, is een boottocht naar het unieke, historische hotel Håholmen Havstuer een aanrader. Dit bijzondere hotel ligt op een eilandje op slechts vijf minuten van de route.
Ga hier lunchen of breng er een bijzondere nacht door!
In de zomer vaart er een vaste bootdienst tegen een kleine vergoeding. Hotelgasten varen gratis mee.
Het is een echte parel, vol geschiedenis, liefde en een avontuurlijke geest.
Een plek waar je de rest van de wereld vergeet en waar je gewoon wilt… zijn.
Ga verder richting de hoofdattractie: De Storseisund-brug!
Stop alleen op de aangewezen plekken langs de weg en denk eraan dat je hier niet mag overnachten. Er zijn genoeg mooie campings in de buurt!
Stop bij het uitzichtpunt en verken het verhoogde wandelpad rond het eiland Eldhusøya, toegankelijk voor iedereen.
En vergeet je hengel niet!
Er zijn verschillende visplekken langs de weg, zoals bij Geitøya en bij de Myrbærholm-brug.

Bekijk het marmeren kunstwerk Columna Transatlantica bij Hågå. Rijd daarna de smalle weggetjes af naar het prachtige strand Farstadsanden!
Hier kun je 2,5 kilometer wandelen naar de vuurtoren van Nordneset.
De weg voert verder langs de baai van Hustadvika, waar de natuurkrachten bekend staan om hun ruwe karakter.
Voor wat comfort overnacht je in het gezellige Hustadvika Havhotell. Het hotel heeft een kleine spa, een hete sauna en heerlijk eten bij Restaurant Flo.
Na 20 minuten rijden naar het westen bereik je het sfeervolle vissersdorp Bud. In de 16e eeuw was dit een van de grootste handelsposten tussen Bergen en Trondheim.
Vandaag de dag is het een rustig vissersdorp waar je kunt genieten van heerlijke zeevruchten bij Bryggjen i Bud. Verken de overblijfselen van de Duitse kustverdediging uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog bij het Ergan Kustfort en bezoek het Kustmuseum.

We raden je aan om nog 40 schilderachtige kilometers door te rijden naar de 'rozenstad' Molde.
Verken de mooie havenpromenade en de drijvende sauna's. Klim omhoog naar het uitzichtpunt Varden voor een panoramisch uitzicht over de bergen!
De hoofdattractie hier is het Romsdalmuseum, een van de grootste openluchtmusea van Noorwegen. Het architectonisch indrukwekkende bezoekerscentrum Krona biedt tentoonstellingen, een café en een winkel met bunads (traditionele Noorse klederdracht).
