1. SKREI-museum
In juni 2026 gaat het spectaculaire, innovatieve nieuwe Otolith Museum in Storvågan, Kabelvåg, open in het hart van de Lofoten.
Het wordt onderdeel van het SKREI-centrum voor kennis en ervaringen, waar ook het Lofoten Museum, Galerij Espolin en het Lofoten Aquarium deel van uitmaken.
Otolith vertelt het verhaal van de Lofoten-visserij en belicht het enorme belang van skrei: de Noordoost-Arctische kabeljauw die historisch werd voor Noorwegen!
2. Ytri Island Retreat in Træna
Is dit het meest unieke en verrassende nieuwe hotel van Europa?
Het exclusieve kustresort Ytri Island Retreat, gelegen direct aan de spectaculaire Helgeland-kust, biedt 38 kamers en suites, een bar, een visrestaurant, sauna's en een wellness-gebied in de buitenlucht, allemaal op het afgelegen eiland Træna.
Ytri werd in 2025 lid van de prestigieuze Relais & Châteaux Association, één van slechts 14 nieuwe leden geselecteerd uit 600 kandidaten.
Het resort gaat naar verwachting open in april 2026.
3. Credo in Oslo
Het gerenommeerde restaurant Credo van chef Heidi Bjerkan is verhuisd van Trondheim en geopend in de Nationale Bibliotheek van Noorwegen in Oslo.
Het nieuwe restaurant biedt uitzonderlijke Noorse gerechten die het erfgoed van het land eren.
4. Kistefos – een nieuw bezoekerscentrum
Het spectaculaire Kistefos Museum en kunstcentrum, net buiten Oslo, opent in juni 2026 een nieuw bezoekerscentrum, ontworpen door Lund Hagem Arkitekter AS.
Het nieuwe gebouw krijgt een prachtig uitzicht op de rivier de Randselva, met architectuur geworteld in het landschap en geïnspireerd op het houtvlotterij-erfgoed van Kistefos.
5. Nul emissies in UNESCO-fjorden
Op het Geirangerfjord begon op 1 januari 2026 een nieuw tijdperk.Kleine passagiersschepen in de UNESCO-fjorden moeten nu emissievrij zijn.
Vaar mee op een elektrische fjordcruise, heerlijk stil, aan boord van de mooie nieuwe door Noren gebouwde hybride catamaran Geirangerfjord 3 van Geiranger Fjordservice!
Het schip vaart op de route Ålesund–Geiranger, biedt fjordcruises op het Geirangerfjord en is ook beschikbaar voor chartertochten.
Vanaf 2032 geldt het nul-emissiebeleid voor alle passagiersschepen.
En er is meer goed nieuws voor het milieu!
In november 2025 bewees de Havila Kustexpress dat het mogelijk is om de volledige kustroute tussen Bergen en Kirkenes met lage uitstoot te varen.
Havila Polaris voer de hele reis op vloeibaar biogas. Voorlopige berekeningen tonen aan dat de CO2-uitstoot met bijna 92% kan worden verminderd door biogas en de accusystemen van het schip te gebruiken.
6. Overnacht bij de lynxen
Ben je op zoek naar een heel bijzondere overnachting? Bij Natuurpark Langedrag in Hallingdal kun je nu overnachten in Gaupestugu, de lynxhut, waar deze prachtige dieren vlak voor je raam rondlopen!
7. Littleisland Lighthouse in Vesterålen
Er zijn nog meer unieke accommodaties. Littleisland Lighthouse uit het begin van de 20e eeuw is grondig gerenoveerd!
De vuurtoren is omgetoverd tot een exclusieve suite, met een indrukwekkend panorama-uitzicht over de oceaan en de bergen van de Lofoten.
In juni 2026 opent er ook een nieuw restaurant.
8. Nieuwe waterparken en spa's

Trysilgondolen, de gloednieuwe gondel bij het grootste skigebied van Noorwegen, Trysil in Oost-Noorwegen. De gondel is al geopend en vervoert eenvoudig 3.000 gasten per uur, 2.417 meter de berg op. Dit is een van de grootste investeringen van het resort!
Narvikfjellet Skiresort in Noord-Noorwegen bereidt zich voor op de Wereldkampioenschappen Alpineskiën van 2029!
Bekijk de gloednieuwe 6-persoons stoeltjeslift naar Linken, de nieuwe bovenste sleeplift en de nieuwe familiepiste vanaf het bovenste gondelstation.
10. Het Kon-Tiki Museum
Kon-Tiki is gerenoveerd en het legendarische Kon-Tiki-vlot krijgt een spectaculaire setting wanneer de nieuwe tentoonstelling in april opent.

The Sørland band Bror represents the big brother many wish they had – the one who always has a guitar on his shoulder and a story lurking. He sits by the fire and makes people listen; sometimes you laugh, other times the words sit like a little lump in your throat. With richly illustrated narratives, everyday observations and a unique ability to create recognition, the band conveys stories that are experienced as both personal and universal. Inspired by the Norwegian folk song tradition, Bror continues the legacy of Ole Paus and Lillebjørn Nilsen, while also making their own mark with new perspectives and a modern soundscape. In May, the band released their second EP - Samvirkelag. With warmth and thoughtfulness, Bror puts words to the familiar and recognizable, and invites the listener into a universe characterized by calm, reflection and presence. The winter of 2026 has been an active period for the band, with concerts at festivals in Oslo, recommendations from P3 Urørt on all songs from the debut EP "Veiviser", as well as a sold-out concert at Vaktbua in Kristiansand and a support job for Delillos at Kick Scene. The audience can expect an evening of intimate stories, musical presence and songs that strike a balance between the everyday and the timeless.

Experience concerts with Marie Skagemo in the Hall of Fame exhibition twice daily during the period July 20 - 25 and get closer to one of the new voices in Norwegian popular music! Concert time: 11:30 13:30 Duration approximately 20 minutes. Marie Skagemo is a vocalist and songwriter from Fredrikstad, now living in Kristiansand. With warm tones and lyrical songs, she creates a close and modern folk pop expression, inspired by folk singers such as Frida Ånnevik and Trygve Skaug. Her music is based on the intimate and everyday, and conveys relationships and emotions with honesty and presence. In 2025 she debuted with the album Jeg hadde elsket å elske deg, recorded together with her acoustic guitar trio. The album contains both the gentle and the more insistent expression, and shows the breadth of Skagemo's songwriting. Since the release, she has played concerts and festivals all over the country, establishing herself as a strong communicator on stage. At the same time, she is now working on a new project, which will be recorded this summer. Here, she explores new aspects of her musical expression, while continuing the lyrical focus that characterizes her. At the concerts, the audience gets to experience both new and previous material, tied together by stories about inspiration, process and the life behind the songs. Two pairs of twins. Same name. Same city. What could go wrong? The Rhubarb Theatre invites you to summer theatre at Bakklandet, and the stage is set for a performance where confusion takes over completely. Here, money, jewelry and people go astray, love ends up in the wrong place – and no one is quite sure who really is who. “The Comedy of Errors” is Rhubarb Theatre’s version of one of William Shakespeare’s earliest and most insane comedies, The Comedy of Errors. The play is a classic comedy of errors in which we meet two sets of twins who were separated at birth – and who, unfortunately, bear exactly the same name. When both sets of twins end up in the same town, a chain reaction of misunderstandings is set in motion. Servants mistake their masters, masters mistake their servants, and a wife is convinced that her husband is behaving strangely – unaware that she is talking to the wrong man. Along the way, romantic confusion, financial chaos and pure madness ensue, before everything finally unravels in a surprising revelation. The performance has been translated into the lush and poetic Sparbud dialect by Hans Magnus Ystgaard, who for many years has given Shakespeare new life in Trøndelag. Despite her young age, Ulriksen has already established herself as one of Europe's most remarkable organ talents. She has performed in some of Europe's most prestigious concert venues, and her concerts are characterized by both technical brilliance and a rare ability to convey the emotional depth of the music. In this concert, she puts together a program that not only shows the full tonal spectrum of the instrument, but also questions how we perceive and understand truth. As an extreme metal festival, Beyond the Gates arose from the ashes of the cult Hole in the Sky festival in 2013. The festival will take place for four days across multiple venues, including USF Verftet, Kulturhuset, and the legendary Grieghallen, where many seminal Norwegian black metal albums were recorded in the 90s. From 22 to 25 July 2026, Vågen in Stavanger will be filled with sailing ships, happy young people, concerts, exhibitions and activities for young and old alike. Everything is free – and everyone is invited to join in! The Tall Ships Races are annual international regattas that aim to develop and educate young people aged 15-25 through sailing training, regardless of nationality, culture, religion, gender or social background. At least half of the crew must be in this age group. The Tall Ships events are considered Europe's largest free family event. In 2026, the cities of Aarhus, Harlingen, Antwerp, Stavanger and Aalborg will be host ports in collaboration with the international sailing training organisation Sail Training International.

Experience concerts with AAvery in the Hall of Fame exhibition twice daily during the period July 27 - August 1 and get closer to one of the new voices in Norwegian popular music! Concert time: 11:30 13:30 Duration approximately 20 minutes. Aavery is a 21-year-old rapper raised in Norway and originally from the Philippines. Now based in Trondheim, he has quickly established himself as a new voice in Norwegian hip-hop – known for combining strong storytelling and lyrical precision with warm, soul-inspired productions. The EP Childhood Dreams (2024), inspired by Dreamville, Saba and Freddie Gibbs, among others, received praise from NRK P3 for its melodic strength and genre playfulness. He has since been on stage at Trondheim Calling 2025, opening for both Ivan Ave – a recognized voice in international hip-hop – and KØBER, a leading figure in Norwegian old-school rap. In a short time, he has earned a reputation as an outstanding live artist. He is constantly praised for his impressive stage presence, musicality and energy. In the summer of 2025, he played at the famous Øya Festival, one of Norway's largest festivals, in the same program as Charli XCX and Lola Young. In the fall of 2025, he released the collaborative album Familiar Times, an album inspired by D'Angelo, A Tribe Called Quest, Terrace Martin, and Robert Glasper. Only Egil Band at Café Skuret on July 24th! Bare Egil Band, aka Egil Hegerberg, is known for his humorous and ironic approach to music, with lyrics that range from the absurd to the political. Since his debut in 1996, he has released a number of albums and delivered cult classics such as "Tagging", "Pee in the Beard" and "Arne går mot døra". He has also been a member of bands such as Gartnerlosjen, Hurra Torpedo and Black Debbath, and is a familiar face from TV through programs such as Brille, Nytt på nytt and Kongen befaler. Bare Egil Band promises a varied concert experience – but this is of course a gross exaggeration. As usual, there will be acoustic guitar, a singing style that ranges from mumbling to screaming, and a solid sprinkle of humor. It will be entertaining anyway. Animulius is an interactive parkour performance where parks and playgrounds are transformed into a living stage landscape. Here, acrobatics and contemporary dance merge into an imaginative universe filled with movement and discovery. The performance is created for children aged 3 and up and their families, inviting both children and adults to see familiar surroundings in new ways – where a bench can become a mountain and a railing a secret path. The performers appear in animal-like costumes that evoke associations with mythical creatures and invite the audience in close.
