1. SKREI-museum
In juni 2026 gaat het spectaculaire, innovatieve nieuwe Otolith Museum in Storvågan, Kabelvåg, open in het hart van de Lofoten.
Het wordt onderdeel van het SKREI-centrum voor kennis en ervaringen, waar ook het Lofoten Museum, Galerij Espolin en het Lofoten Aquarium deel van uitmaken.
Otolith vertelt het verhaal van de Lofoten-visserij en belicht het enorme belang van skrei: de Noordoost-Arctische kabeljauw die historisch werd voor Noorwegen!
2. Ytri Island Retreat in Træna
Is dit het meest unieke en verrassende nieuwe hotel van Europa?
Het exclusieve kustresort Ytri Island Retreat, gelegen direct aan de spectaculaire Helgeland-kust, biedt 38 kamers en suites, een bar, een visrestaurant, sauna's en een wellness-gebied in de buitenlucht, allemaal op het afgelegen eiland Træna.
Ytri werd in 2025 lid van de prestigieuze Relais & Châteaux Association, één van slechts 14 nieuwe leden geselecteerd uit 600 kandidaten.
Het resort gaat naar verwachting open in april 2026.
3. Credo in Oslo
Het gerenommeerde restaurant Credo van chef Heidi Bjerkan is verhuisd van Trondheim en geopend in de Nationale Bibliotheek van Noorwegen in Oslo.
Het nieuwe restaurant biedt uitzonderlijke Noorse gerechten die het erfgoed van het land eren.
4. Kistefos – een nieuw bezoekerscentrum
Het spectaculaire Kistefos Museum en kunstcentrum, net buiten Oslo, opent in juni 2026 een nieuw bezoekerscentrum, ontworpen door Lund Hagem Arkitekter AS.
Het nieuwe gebouw krijgt een prachtig uitzicht op de rivier de Randselva, met architectuur geworteld in het landschap en geïnspireerd op het houtvlotterij-erfgoed van Kistefos.
5. Nul emissies in UNESCO-fjorden
Op het Geirangerfjord begon op 1 januari 2026 een nieuw tijdperk.Kleine passagiersschepen in de UNESCO-fjorden moeten nu emissievrij zijn.
Vaar mee op een elektrische fjordcruise, heerlijk stil, aan boord van de mooie nieuwe door Noren gebouwde hybride catamaran Geirangerfjord 3 van Geiranger Fjordservice!
Het schip vaart op de route Ålesund–Geiranger, biedt fjordcruises op het Geirangerfjord en is ook beschikbaar voor chartertochten.
Vanaf 2032 geldt het nul-emissiebeleid voor alle passagiersschepen.
En er is meer goed nieuws voor het milieu!
In november 2025 bewees de Havila Kustexpress dat het mogelijk is om de volledige kustroute tussen Bergen en Kirkenes met lage uitstoot te varen.
Havila Polaris voer de hele reis op vloeibaar biogas. Voorlopige berekeningen tonen aan dat de CO2-uitstoot met bijna 92% kan worden verminderd door biogas en de accusystemen van het schip te gebruiken.
6. Overnacht bij de lynxen
Ben je op zoek naar een heel bijzondere overnachting? Bij Natuurpark Langedrag in Hallingdal kun je nu overnachten in Gaupestugu, de lynxhut, waar deze prachtige dieren vlak voor je raam rondlopen!
7. Littleisland Lighthouse in Vesterålen
Er zijn nog meer unieke accommodaties. Littleisland Lighthouse uit het begin van de 20e eeuw is grondig gerenoveerd!
De vuurtoren is omgetoverd tot een exclusieve suite, met een indrukwekkend panorama-uitzicht over de oceaan en de bergen van de Lofoten.
In juni 2026 opent er ook een nieuw restaurant.
8. Nieuwe waterparken en spa's
Genieten! Na een hele dag wandelen, fietsen en skiën in het bergresort Hovden kun je nu naar het exclusieve nieuwe Hovden Fjellbad Waterpark en Spa in Setesdal. Geniet van een paradijs voor waterpret, ontspanning en wellness voor het hele gezin.

Trysilgondolen, de gloednieuwe gondel bij het grootste skigebied van Noorwegen, Trysil in Oost-Noorwegen. De gondel is al geopend en vervoert eenvoudig 3.000 gasten per uur, 2.417 meter de berg op. Dit is een van de grootste investeringen van het resort!
Narvikfjellet Skiresort in Noord-Noorwegen bereidt zich voor op de Wereldkampioenschappen Alpineskiën van 2029!
Bekijk de gloednieuwe 6-persoons stoeltjeslift naar Linken, de nieuwe bovenste sleeplift en de nieuwe familiepiste vanaf het bovenste gondelstation.
10. Het Kon-Tiki Museum
Kon-Tiki is gerenoveerd en het legendarische Kon-Tiki-vlot krijgt een spectaculaire setting wanneer de nieuwe tentoonstelling in april opent.

- In september kreeg Trondheim ook een nieuw boetiekhotel. Villa Nord is een exclusief hotel in historische gebouwen die dateren uit 1837.

Students perform and exhibit on stages and arenas all over Trondheim – from squares and parks to cultural centers and libraries – and invite the city's residents to join in the celebration. The Cultural School Festival is both a tribute to the students' efforts and a demonstration of the cultural school's importance in the city's cultural life.

Welcome to the concert series Vår Frue on Saturday! Trio Myr returns on June 13th. "Trio Myr" is a vocal trio consisting of Dina Grundberg (SE), Maja Sundell (SE) and Julie Forbord Skagen (NO). The trio performs carefully selected folk songs, hymns and hymns from Sweden and Norway in their own arrangements. The vocalists have their roots in jazz music, but are also passionate about Nordic folk music and its vocal tradition. Based on the stories of the texts, the group creates new and exciting arrangements where traditional melodies are mixed with improvisation and modern sounds, where the love of music is the common driving force. Iladagan 40 years – 11.–14. June! This year we celebrate 40 years of Iladagan! For four days, Ila will be filled with small and large events created by people who live, work and are based in the district. The program is spread throughout Ila – from backyards, gardens and living rooms to parks, churches, cafes, pubs and meeting places. Some invite you to concerts on a bench in the street or in a backyard. Others open their doors for art, exhibitions or sing-alongs. Flea markets are arranged on the sidewalks and in gardens, and there are storytelling sessions, dance classes and city walks. In Ilaparken there will be a large market with music, dancing, food and stalls with new and used goods. Here you can also experience concerts, competitions and activities for both young and old. Iladagan is a festival where the entire district is the stage – where there may be singing under the lilac trees in the park, jazz cafés on the sidewalk, campfire singing at Skansen or hammocks in rows along Ilevollen that invite you to take a breather.

Bygg Kultur! is a festival at the newly opened Strindheim Kulturhus and, through its work, wants to contribute to creating an active and inclusive cultural offering for the district. Here you have the opportunity to meet young artists, bands and groups in various genres. Among them are the pu-gaze band Gullfaks Anarki, singer-songwriter Marit Haugsand, the alt-rock band Slabberas and the newly started jazz trio Koala. Bergen Calling continues to strengthen its position as one of the country’s leading concert series, presented by Bergen Live, when three of Norway’s most prominent rock bands – Dumdum Boys, Raga Rockers and Slomosa – take the stage at Bergenhus Festning on Friday 19 June 2026. Dumdum Boys Their combination of raw energy, timeless songs and the ability to connect with new generations still makes them one of Norway’s foremost live bands. When Dumdum Boys earlier this year announced concerts in the country’s largest cities and on several of Norway’s most central stages, the shows were almost immediately sold out. The band’s presence on stage is often described as a moment when the music hits the body – hard, precise and unavoidable. In the summer of 2026, audiences in Bergen will get to experience this when the band takes over Plenen. Raga Rockers make a long-awaited return One of Norway’s most iconic rock bands of all time, Raga Rockers, are also ready for Bergen Calling in the summer of 2026. The band enters a new phase with Ivar Eidem behind the microphone, while Michael Krohn once again takes up the guitar. This year marks 10 years since Musikalfabrikken was born in Trondheim – and we will celebrate with an open anniversary weekend in and around our premises at Rotvoll! Throughout these two days, we invite young and old to experience shows and concerts with our students, and to participate in activities such as drama, make-up, dress-up and carpentry. You will also have the opportunity to experience the Musical Factory behind the scenes, with guided tours and an exhibition. The International Women's League for Peace and Freedom (IKFF) in Trondheim invites you to the third PEACE Festival in the city. IKFF Trondheim is organizing the PEACE Festival 2026 from June 6-20. This year's sub-theme is: How to create peace - if not with weapons? The festival is organized in the shadow of war! The festival will be a clear counter-voice to increasing militarization, and provide space for artistic and popular expressions that challenge the notion that weapons create peace. Through the PEACE Festival, many who are not otherwise PEACE activists are activated and the festival puts the PEACE focus on the agenda in the cityscape. A subgroup of IKFF in Trondheim, Artists for FRED, is responsible for this year's event. On June 6th at 12:00, the festival opens with an exhibition by Tiril Valeur at the Feminist House. The concert will be held in the beautiful Atelier Ilsvika, and you are all invited. Synnøve Brøndbo Plassen and Bendik Smedåsgjelten Qvam have deep roots in the traditional music of Nord-Østerdalen and Trøndelag. They have played together for over ten years, and have developed a great interest in and knowledge of the music from their homelands. They perform the dance tunes, songs and ballads with their own distinctive expression, with darkness, melancholy, hope and humor. Their first duo album is called "Stråk", which means road, or area for travel and movement. Nord-Østerdalen and Trøndelag have been a thoroughfare for many different people. This album depicts parts of life in Nord-Østerdalen and Trøndelag, with the difficult working life, the young love that can be both wonderful and painful, and the eternal need for music and dance to try to forget the hard everyday life. For this album they won the Spellemann Prize in the category of traditional music in 2026.
