Hier zijn 7 redenen waarom:
1. De fruitbomen staan in bloei
Honderdduizenden bomen en miljarden bloemen. De bomen bloeien normaal gezien in mei, een tijd die bijzonder mooi is aan het Hardangerfjord en het Sognefjord.
2. De watervallen stromen het sterkst
Veel van de meest indrukwekkende watervallen van Noorwegen zijn te vinden in Fjord-Noorwegen. De smeltende sneeuw in het voorjaar zorgt ervoor dat ze nog indrukwekkender zijn.
3. Je kunt bij de solveggen ontspannen
Aaah!
Niets is fijner dan op een beschutte plek te relaxen met je favoriete drankje terwijl de zon je gezicht streelt.
In Noorwegen heeft elke hut een wand om in de zon te loungen, ook wel solveggen (de ’zonnemuur’) genoemd.
4. Besneeuwde bergen
Zorg ervoor dat je je telefoon oplaadt, zodat je foto's kunt maken van het uitzicht op de besneeuwde bergen die boven de fjorden uittorenen.
Wandel, fiets, of kajak, of maak een tochtje naar de top van een berg met de Loen Skylift (op de foto) of de Romsdal Gondola.
5. Lenteskiën
De lente biedt de leukste skimogelijkheden, en het vroege voorjaar is het belangrijkste seizoen voor skitochten.
Beleef een aantal heerlijke pistes in het late seizoen in populaire skigebieden zoals Strandafjellet, Myrkdalen, Voss of Folgefonna.
6. Lekker zwemmen in de lente
Zet je zintuigen weer op scherp met de eerste verfrissende duik van het jaar!
Toptip: Ga zwemmen bij een stomende fjordsauna, zoals Heit.
7. Minder toeristen
Ontsnap aan mensenmassa’s. In het voorjaar zijn de fjorden helemaal van jou.
