De regio draagt 'Smakelijk eten!' letterlijk en figuurlijk hoog in het vaandel. Zelfs Gordon Ramsay heeft de regio bezocht om het traditionele streekgerecht smalahove (schapenkop) te proeven. Boerderij Smalahovetunet maakt deze specialiteit speciaal voor je klaar. Verder staat er gezouten vlees, gezouten en gedroogde schapenribbetjes en pap met zure room op het menu.

VossSkitouring mountain range "Raundalsryggen" with Wild Voss
Raundalsryggen (The Raundals ridge) is the skyline up the highest mountains of Voss. Horndalsnuten (1461), Skipadalsnuten (1496), Seldalsnuten (1548) and Olsskavlen (1576) are its dominant peaks. Raundalsryggen offers alpine terrain, with steep lines and possibilities for ski alpinism. These mountains also offer mellower terrain through big open faces, perfect for cruising in soft snow. There are a lot of different possible link ups, but our original grand traverse is an athletic challenge that will take you from the valleys of Raundalen, with its spectacular turquoise and silvery waters, all the way through high mountain terrain. This can be the perfect introduction to ski alpinism. Join us in this incredible 1800 vertical meter and 22km journey!

The day trip cabin in Voss is beautifully situated on Klepp (600 meters above sea level) on the north side of lake Vangsvatnet. The day trip cabin is free for everyone, all year round. Inside the cabin, you can eat your packed lunch, warm up (or dry off) by the fireplace, and enjoy books from the cabin's library. Overnight stays in the cabin are not allowed. Any damage or other issues with the cabin can be reported to Voss Municipality at phone number 56519400.
