Oost-Noorwegen ligt ten zuiden van de bergen van Dovre en Rørosvidda en ten oosten van het Langfjella-gebergte. Je vindt er het grootste aanbod aan activiteiten in het land.
Oslo is het kloppende hart van de regio. De stad is constant in beweging en er is altijd wel iets nieuws te zien en te beleven. Het nieuwe, wereldklasse Munch Museum is maar één voorbeeld van de innovatieve architectuur van de stad. Geniet van heerlijke restaurants en een bruisend cultureel leven, en ontdek de hipste bars. Op een klein eindje rijden van de stad vind je tal van schilderachtige kustplekjes langs het Oslofjord. Nadien kun je verder naar historische zomersteden en de prachtige rotseilanden in Østfold en Vestfold. Van de gladde, warme rotsen van de kust is het echt niet ver tot aan hoge bergen, weelderig groene landschappen en valleien vol leuke activiteiten, zoals Hallingdal, Gudbrandsdalen en Østerdalen.
Oost-Noorwegen is de dichtstbevolkte regio van het land, en dat zie je aan de veelheid aan activiteiten. De regio is de uitgelezen bestemming voor gezinnen, met een groot aantal pretparken, dierentuinen, boerderijen en activiteitenparken.
In de winter is Oost-Noorwegen een paradijs om te skiën en langlaufen. Je vindt er de meeste topskigebieden van het land. In de zomer zijn de pistes perfect voor mountainbiken en andere leuke activiteiten. Het Kistefos museum in Hadeland ligt op slechts een uurtje rijden van Oslo. De regio heeft ook prachtige natuuravonturen in de natuur in de aanbieding, zoals fietsen of wandelen. Ga op verkenning langs zowel uitdagende als kindvriendelijke paden in nationale parken zoals Jotunheimen en Rondane, of ga mee op een begeleide muskusossafari in de bergen van Dovrefjell. In Telemark kun je zelfs met een gondel naar de bergtop met het mooiste uitzicht over Noorwegen, Gaustatoppen.

OsloFrogner Park
The largest park in central parts of Oslo and a popular recreational area for people from all over the city. Inside the park you find Vigeland Sculpture Park, one of Oslo's most popular attractions. On a nice day the park is full of people; here you can go for a run, walk the dog, have a picnic or barbecue, play badminton or just enjoy the sun. Frogner Park has Norway's biggest collection of roses; a total of 14,000 plants of 150 different species. Frogner Stadium and Frognerbadet open-air pool are located in the corner of the park that faces Majorstua. In the corner near Frogner plass you can visit Frogner Manor House and the Museum of Oslo. The park has a café and a restaurant and children can play on Norway's biggest playground, located near the main entrance.
